Open Golf Championships

The 2023-23 AoC Sport Open Golf Championships encompasses two events throughout the year, which is open to both colleges and associates. There will be a North event and a South event running simultaneously on the same days. The best 12 individuals from the North will then compete in a Ryder Cup style final against the 12 best individuals from the South.

Format

The following competitions will take place at each event: –

  • Men’s and women’s individual gross score
  • Men’s and women’s individual net score
  • Team competition (best 3 gross scores from four players from the same institution)

AoC Intercollegiate Tour Finals

The best teams and individuals over all four events will qualify for the Intercollegiate Tour National finals on 9th – 10th May 2024, at Kedleston Park GC, Derbyshire

AoC Intercollegiate Tour Ryder Cup

The top 12 individuals from the North and South regions over the two AoC events will qualify for the AoC Ryder Cup on 19th April 2024 (venue TBC).


Criteria

The event is open to both teams and individual golfers with a maximum handicap of 18 (they must hold a CONGU handicap) and are a full-time student at a member college or associate.

Costings

The cost per student for each event will be £35 per event and this will cover the cost of tee times and admin for each event.
