Entries open for sixth Planet Earth Games

Entries are now open for the sixth Planet Earth Games, giving colleges and sixth forms across the UK the opportunity to inspire students and staff to take action for people and the planet through sport and physical activity.

Organised by Planet Earth Games Trust in partnership with Association of Colleges – Sport (AoC Sport), the four-month competition will run from January to April 2027. More than 100,000 young people aged 16–19 have taken part since the programme launched.

Participating colleges will take on 12 virtual nationwide challenges and can create their own locally led activities. Linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the programme places young people at the heart of positive change in their college and community.

Colleges earn points through participation, with results added to a live national leaderboard throughout the competition. The emphasis is on involving as many students and staff as possible, helping them to get active, connect with nature and take practical environmental action.

The competition will culminate during Colleges’ National Green Week, with the 2027 Planet Earth Games champion crowned on 23 April 2027, the day after Earth Day.

How to enter

Entry for the 2027 Planet Earth Games is £399 per college, with no limit on the number of local challenges and activities a college can create. Colleges and sixth forms must create their team at planetearthgames.org by 11 December 2026.
