Becoming a CrossFit affiliate

CrossFit® is a licensed brand and a training methodology of functional fitness. Affiliation with CrossFit requires compliance with their standards and the payment of an annual fee. There are two types of affiliation licenses: commercial and non-profit. While the CrossFit® Affiliate license agreement is identical for both types, there are distinctions between commercial and non-profit affiliates.

CrossFit® encourages and welcomes educational affiliates. Special affiliates operating within schools / colleges are exempt from the affiliation fee and insurance requirements. To qualify for school / college affiliation, the facility must be located on a school / college campus, exclusively train students and staff, and offer its services free of charge.

To initiate a school / college affiliation, a teacher or lecturer must become a certified CrossFit Level 1 Trainer. Once certified, the school can apply for a non-profit affiliate license, with the annual licensing fee waived. With a certified CrossFit trainer on staff, the school or college can then conduct CrossFit classes for students.

The Academy Programme offers support throughout this process, providing guidance on programming, class planning, staff training, and student opportunities to facilitate the integration of CrossFit into schools, colleges & universities.
