Sports

The AoC Sport National Championships 2024 consists of 12 different sports taking place at a range of excellent venues across Nottingham.

The 2024 AoC Sport National Championship Rulebook is available below.

Using the menu below, you can find out more about the competition and the running orders for each sport. Please note that the running orders for each competition may be subject to change.

Entry Costs

Following the Ops Advisory Meeting it has been decided that this year the costs are calculated per team rather than per competitor, as shown below.

Badminton

The badminton events will take place at the place at the David Ross Sports Village on Friday and Sutton Bonington on Saturday and Sunday.

The competition will be played as 2 separate team competitions.

Basketball

The basketball events will take place at the David Ross Sports Village on

  • Friday afternoon including men's showcase fixtures on Friday evening
  • Saturday including women's showcase fixtures on Saturday evening
  • Sunday 

The men's competition will be pool matches followed by play offs. The women's competition will be a round robin followed by a play off.

Boccia

The Boccia event will take place at the David Ross Sports Village on the Friday and will run from 10:00am to 3:00pm.

Competitions will consist of mixed matches which are available to download here.

Cricket

Endurance Run

The endurance run will be held at Nottingham University campus on Saturday 20th April. On Sunday 21st April there is a mixed team relay race but this will not be for Wilkinson Swords points, however medals will be awarded for the first three finishing teams. The Saturday event will be a regional team race: a maximum of 12 male and 12 female participants, of whom six shall count for a result in each race. The distance will be a minimum of 4.5km for both men and women.

The endurance run at this year’s championships is a multi-terrain race, using the roads, paths and trails of the university campus and Highfields park. The terrain means that either road shoes or multi-terrain shoes are suitable for this course and not cross country spikes.

Race Times:

Saturday 20th April:

  • The Technical Meeting will take place at 10.00 am on Saturday, with the course walked immediately after. A copy of the course is available to download here.
  • The women’s race will commence at 11.30 am and the men’s race at 12.15 pm.

Sunday 21st April:

The Technical Meeting will take place at 10.00 am on Saturday, with the course walked immediately after. A copy of the course is available to download here.

The relay race will commence at 11.15am.

Race numbers will be handed out upon registration on each day.

Men's and women's football matches will take place at Highfields Playing Fields, on grass pitches.

Football (Pan Disability)

The Pan Disability football competition will take place at the David Ross Sports Village on 3G pitches. Metal studs will not be permitted on the 3G surface, only moulded studs or astros may be worn.
