British Esports Student Champs 2022/23 registrations open

07 September 2022

Champs registrations

Following the massive success of the 2021/22 season, which saw in excess of 700 teams and 3,000 players competing across the country, the British Esports Student Champs is back for its fourth year in a row.

Whilst featuring the titles from previous years, Rocket League, League of Legends and VALORANT, the 2022/23 season will see the addition of Overwatch 2, as well as the introduction of North and South regionalised divisions.

Furthermore, as part of British Esports' ongoing focus on inclusivity and diversity, this year’s competition also sees a brand new Women in Esports pilot in Overwatch 2. Running in conjunction with the Student Champs, the pilot is designed to encourage more female and marginalised gender players to take part, offering the opportunity to play in a safe space.

This competition has a requirement of 60% female or marginalised gender participation, meaning that a minimum of three players on the roster must identify as female or a marginalised gender. We welcome and encourage schools and colleges to consider this division for their students who perhaps lack the confidence to compete in the main divisions of Student Champs.

For more information on the Student Champs and to find out why your school or college should participate, please visit the British Esports Student Champs website and register today.
