AoC Sport Rugby Union Premier League Application 2024/25 Season

Men’s Premiership League

AoC Sport Rugby Premiership Competition - Men’s U18, 15 a side competition targeting performance players. This competition will run alongside the ACE programme culminating in play offs and a national final. Will be subject to application.

Men's Championship League

AoC Sport Rugby Championship Competition -Men’s U18 regionalised 15 a side competition targeting development players. The expectation is that this league is to be played 15 a side by teams with a proven record of playing competitive games across previous competitions.

Women’s Premiership League

AoC Sport Rugby Premiership Competition – Women’s U18 15 a side divisional competition targeting performance and development players. This competition will run alongside the women’s RFU performance league culminating in play offs and a national final. Will be subject to application.

The philosophy of our Rugby Union Premier/Championship Leagues is to provide the highest quality league competition for players within further education.

Decisions on applications to enter the leagues will be made AoC Sport with the support of RFU & ECRFU and will be based on the following criteria:

• Teams must meet the student entry criteria as laid out in our competition rules
• Teams should have performed competitively in the previous season, showed a commitment to fixture completion, and proved a high level of communication and administration
• New applicants must be able to demonstrate that they can compete at premier league level.
• Teams playing in the premier league are likely to have to travel further than those that are playing in the regional leagues.
