AoC appoints new Director of Sport and Student Experience
AoC is delighted to announce the appointment of new Director of Sport and Student Experience Dr Dean Hardman.
Dean, who is currently Head of Commercial and Member Engagement at England Athletics, will begin his new role in February 2020.
Dean has a background in business partnership and development, member engagement, event leadership and communications in England Athletics.
The new role will lead the strategic development and operational delivery of AoC’s work in supporting colleges to enhance the student experience both inside and outside the curriculum, including developing student participation in sport and physical activity, arts, culture, work experience, social action and citizenship.
Dean joins at a time when AoC is focused on increasing student engagement and enrichment opportunities.
Mark White OBE DL, chair of AoC Sport said: “The Board is thrilled to announce Dr Dean Hardman as our new Director of Sport and Student Experience.
“It’s a very exciting time to be joining the organisation as we place an even higher priority on sport and the wider student experience”.
Dean Hardman added: "I am absolutely delighted to be joining. I am hugely passionate about the opportunities that sport and other enrichment experiences provide and I am excited to work with the team to evolve how AoC works with colleges and members in our shared passion to create the best possible student experience.
“I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity to play a part in providing the best possible experience for those who take part in the competition structure in colleges and create even more opportunities for all students across the country to participate regularly in sport."
