Activity and educational resources for families during the coronavirus

During lockdown there are lots of college staff and students caring for and homeschooling younger family members. So we’ve put together some ideas to help keep them busy and get them active over the next few months.

Early Years

Early Movers This website has been designed alongside early years practitioners and suggests games and activities for children to develop their core skills. https://www.earlymovers.org.uk/activities Tumble Tots Tumble Tots is the UK's leading national active physical play programme for children from six months to seven years. Change4Life Change4Life is here to help families be healthier and happier by eating well and moving more. They have loads of Disney inspired indoor games and 10 Minute Shake Up activities to help kids stay active while everyone's at home. https://www.nhs.uk/change4life/activities Sport England - Travel to Tokyo Aiming to inspire children aged 5-11, and their families, to try new activities together in the run up to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. With the programme now having moved to be wholly online, families and teachers can access exclusive Team GB and ParalympicsGB educational resources. These include a free home learning pack with quick 10-minute inclusive activities that require no equipment. Their Schools' Portal has a variety of lesson plans to support cricket coaching, including explanation videos and top tips from the pros, which you can follow from home.
