  • Total word limit: Please ensure the total responses for the three sections of Innovation, Impact and Inclusion do not exceed 3,000 words.

  • Please double check all answers for accuracy (e.g. correct email address, name spelling).
  • After form submission you have the option to print a copy of your answers.
  • A template version of the application form is available on the webpage (this is for the purpose of viewing questions only; all applications must be made online through this webform).

Section A: Innovation

Continuous innovation: regular improvement of delivery - Adjacent innovation: adapting existing approaches for new learners or settings -Radical innovation: major breakthroughs in delivery or impact

Does your ESOL programme use new or effective teaching and support approaches to maximise and/or accelerate learners’ English language development? - Does your embedded ESOL support in vocational/academic courses use new or effective adaptive teaching and support approaches to maximise or accelerate English language development to support access to vocational or academic learning? - Promoting independent learning beyond the classroom - Focusing on real-world, useful language that allows learners to access vocational/academic learning, progress onto further/higher education, access the jobs market in accordance with their goals and ambitions and be an active member of their community.    - Culturally inclusive and sensitive teaching methods that promote learners’ multilingual and multicultural identities, including home/preferred language maintenance   - Encouraging learners to connect with their local community  - Using technology to support communication and learning - Adapting to different student needs, levels, and backgrounds

Section B: Impact

Evaluate the impact of your initiative by providing data and other evidence. Please ensure that if your application relates to a specific initiative that the evidence relates to it directly.

Include, for example, improvements in: learner participation, achievement, progression, destinations, teaching and learning.

Section C: Inclusion

Tell us how your initiative stands out regarding inclusive ethos and practices.

Removing barriers for underrepresented or priority groups - Culturally responsive and inclusive approaches - Aligning with public sector equality duties - Fostering environments where all learners feel they belong
