Prevent Duty - Update

The Government announced on 18 September that the Prevent duty for FE institutions came into force on 18 September 2015. The Government also confirmed that the statutory guidance: Prevent Duty Guidance: For further education institutions in England and Wales was also approved by parliament and came into effect from 18 September 2015. The above sector specific guidance should be read alongside the Revised Prevent Duty Guidance: for England and Wales. Colleges should review and comply with the obligations set out in both statutory documents.
