Our Ambitions

The AoC National Colleges Netball programme represents the pinnacle of college netball. Our representative teams exist to:
We aim to:

• Develop an aspirational netball programme that inspires players to reach their full potential both on and off the court.
• Provide a high-quality representative pathway for players in further education, enabling them to compete at national and international level while gaining valuable competitive experience.
• Identify players within college netball who demonstrate outstanding ability and place them within a high-performance environment that promotes both sporting and academic excellence.
• Support players in raising their aspirations, encouraging progression into higher levels of netball and continued success in education.
• Identify and develop talented coaches and support staff working within the further education sector.
• Track the progression of players, coaches, and staff beyond their involvement, using their success to inspire future generations.
• Work collaboratively with partners and stakeholders to ensure the continued growth, sustainability, and impact of the AoC sport programme.

The philosophy of the AoC National Colleges Netball programme combines high-performance sport with strong educational values. The programme is designed to challenge, support, and develop individuals within a holistic framework. Key elements include:

• Working with highly qualified coaches and experienced support staff to deliver a high quality performance environment.
• Competing in appropriate, high-level fixtures against strong national and international opposition to provide meaningful match experience.
• Access to quality training and competition facilities.
• Integrating performance analysis, sport science, and innovative practices to enhance player development.
• Creating a positive culture focused on continuous improvement, professionalism, and personal growth.
• Supporting the holistic development of players by working in partnership with colleges.

England Colleges Netball Trials

Trial Information

Players are identified through a trial process across the AoC Sport membership. All AoC Sport members and associates are encouraged to nominate players for the national netball team from September until the closing date, which is Friday 9 October 2026.

To submit a nomination, you must provide complete details of the player’s representative level, preferred positions, and club team. Players must currently compete, or have previously competed, at county, regional, or national level to be considered. Before submitting a nomination, please ensure that players meet the Netball Player Selection Criteria for 2026–27.

There is a maximum number of trial places available. If oversubscribed, players will be shortlisted based on the information provided in the nomination form. Please ensure all sections are fully completed.
A waiting list will be created in case of withdrawals. A maximum of 20 players will be selected from the trials.
