Complaints Regarding Safeguarding

AoC Sport is committed to ensuring that all safeguarding concerns and complaints are handled fairly, consistently and in a timely manner. Any individual who is dissatisfied with the way a safeguarding concern has been managed has the right to raise a complaint.

Complaints about the way in which a safeguarding concern has been managed should, in the first instance, be directed to AoC Sport's Lead Safeguarding Officer. All safeguarding concerns and complaints reported to AoC Sport will be taken seriously and responded to promptly, appropriately and in accordance with our safeguarding procedures.

Where the complaint relates to the actions, conduct, decision-making or handling of a case by the Lead Safeguarding Officer, the complaint should be referred to the appropriate HR contact or another suitably senior manager who is independent of the case. This will ensure the complaint is reviewed objectively and that any concerns about the safeguarding process can be considered impartially.

If an individual remains dissatisfied following the outcome of a complaint, they will be advised of any further stages of the complaints process that may be available to them.
