BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Art and Design (Photography) accredited by the University of the Arts London (UAL) - Distinction (D), GCSE Mathematics – Grade 5
Zachary retook GCSE Maths alongside the second year of his Level 3 course. He has really dived into his work and has found his passion through his studies at College.
He said: "Through this course, I was able to explore all sorts of different types and styles of photography, and then start to find out which types I am really interested in. For instance, when I first started out I was convinced that I wanted to do architecture photography, however thanks to the course's freedom, I was quickly able to see that it really wasn't for me. Then, through a lot of trial and error, I found out how much I loved working in nature, and that it was the genre that I found most captivating.
On top of this, the College showing the exact style of photography I personally feel passionate about, was also crucial in securing me an unconditional offer at university, along with offers from all of the other universities that I applied to.
The College helped me to prepare for my university interview. Along with being taught how to present my work in a cutting edge fashion (which very few of the other applicants had), my preparedness meant that I had a fully designed website on top of my workbooks, and I easily stood out from the crowd. This was all thanks to my teacher and the College.
So really, my time here prepared me for every part of my next steps into my future."
Zachary has been accepted to study BA (Hons) Marine and Natural History Photography at Falmouth University.
