ECFA Coach Accelerator Programme
The Coach Accelerator Programme (CAP) aims to provide tailored coaching support to students from Historically Underrepresented Groups (by race, gender, disability, and social economic status) across three regions who are actively involved within football. The programme will equip young people with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities to pursue coaching roles and actively contribute to the development of grassroots football whilst accelerating your coaching journey.
To be eligible to apply for this programme please see the criteria below:
- Age 16-19 ( 16 as of 1st September 2024)
- From a Historically Underrepresented Group (at least ONE of the following)
- Female
- Minority ethnic group
- Disability
- Low social economic status
- Be from a college in one of the three geographical regions (London, Birmingham, and Northeast).
- Attend an AoC Member College (Please see the list for eligible colleges- here)
- Studying Full time
- Coaching voluntary or paid within a team/club environment.
Dates of the programme
- January 2025- Evening Session (in person)
- February 2025 – Evening (online)
- Late March/Early April- Evening (in person)
- May 2025- Evening (online)
- June/July 2025- Day time in person
This new pilot programme will be running from January 2025 - June 2025. Final dates and time will be sent out in due course.
