Director of Data and Funding
Salary: £75,756
Organisation: Coleg Gwent
Location: Usk (Newport area), Wales
Closing Date: 29 Sept 2024
At Coleg Gwent, our mission is simple: to CHANGE LIVES THROUGH LEARNING. We are one of the top performing colleges in Wales and we have high aspirations for our students, for our staff and for the communities we serve.
Our education and training offer is broad and diverse, covering Further Education, Higher Education and apprenticeships, across five inspirational, well-equipped campuses. We have further exciting projects in the pipeline, including our new Hive centre for advanced engineering and the redevelopment of our Newport city campus. The College is forward thinking and dynamic and if you want to make a difference, this is the place to do it.
It’s a great time to join the college as we move towards an exciting new future under the leadership of our new Principal. This is a newly created role, designed to elevate the Business Systems and MIS functions, ensuring best practice in these areas.
As our new Director of Data and Funding, you will be the strategic lead in the collation and use of information to provide support for decision-making and measuring performance across the college. Reporting to the Vice Principal (Resources & Planning), this is a great opportunity to manage all aspects of our MIS systems and provide a fresh perspective to bring about further improvement.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a crucial role in driving forward the college’s performance and ensuring the college is best placed to deliver our new strategic plan. As well as shaping the current reporting systems to further enhance the college deliverables, the Director of Data and Funding will lead and develop a talented, motivated workforce and work in partnership with stakeholders across the college.
The successful candidate will have experience of managing information systems, adding value to data systems and sound knowledge of data and compliance. A strong manager, you will get the best out of your teams and provide a supportive and developmental culture. You will have the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with both colleagues across the college and with external stakeholders.
The College offers many employment benefits including generous holiday entitlement, pension scheme and many on-site benefits and facilities. Within easy access of the M4 corridor, our campuses are set within reach of some of the most beautiful countryside in South Wales.
Applications may be submitted in Welsh and will not be treated less favourably than applications submitted in English.
