AoC Create has tailored the Senior Leadership Management Development programme to ensure it remains relevant and meets the current and evolving development needs of leaders in the FE sector. This programme is about improving leadership in practice.

The programme aims to challenge and change behaviours, develop the personal qualities, leadership skills and high level management capability of senior leaders in the further education and skills sector, achieved through practical application of the learning to the workplace. Our facilitators will guide you through tools and techniques to apply to your own situations and challenges and equip you with the knowledge and skills to know ‘how to’ be a successful leader.

Inspiring Leadership: Tools and Tips for FE Managers

This session will help leaders and managers understand what the term ‘Organisational Health’ actually means and will develop skills to bring about positive working culture. This workshop encourages the sharing of best practice in an ‘open-course’ forum which develops greater confidence and capability in delegates.

Inspiring Your Commercial Culture in FE Workshop

This essential workshop aims to increase commercial skills whilst enabling participants to effectively translate and embed strategic vision within a colleges culture. Sustainability of commercial vision is only possible when key stakeholders have ‘buy in’. The training will focus on developing practical approaches to income generation that are proven to work.

Leading an English and Maths Team Workshop

This workshop is specifically designed for FE leaders and managers responsible for cross-college English and Maths provision and explores ways of maximising the potential of disaffected students who are re-sitting GCSE English and maths, or studying Functional Skills in English and maths, achieving a grade C or 5.

Benefits of attending

  • This workshop will benefit delegates by helping them to:
  • understand the GCSE reforms including the new 9-1 grading scale
  • acquire practical strategies for leading English and maths provision in a college
