Professional Exchange Cornwall 2019/20 - call for participants and group leads
AoC is currently seeking applications for participants to join the Professional Exchange Programme in Cornwall. The Professional Exchange is a national programme funded by the Education and Training Foundation (ETF).
The programme aims to support locally organised groups of practitioners in FE to come together to share ideas and resources and to test and trial innovative approaches to teaching, learning and assessment.
We are also looking for peer group leads who may have an idea for a Professional Exchange group. The group lead room is particularly suited to advanced practitioners or individuals that are seeking to develop leadership and management skills. If you are interested in being a group lead, please submit your application by Friday 20 December.
For more information about the Professional Exchange and to apply to take part in the Professional Exchange either as a participant or a group lead, please visit the AoC website or contact the Projects team.
Regional Governance Programme
Funded by the Education & Training Foundation, AoC will be hosting a series of regional governance free inductions and conferences.
The inductions aim to help new college governors understand their role further but also discuss operating in an ever-changing climate. To book onto an induction in your region, please visit the ETF booking site.
We are also hosting regional governance conferences that will focus on managing local priorities and key hot topics within the FE sector such as insolvency and technical education reforms. Register for your place at a governance conference near you.
Call for applications – VocTech Seed 2020 Programme
The Ufi VocTech Trust’s funding call for its VocTech Seed 2020 programme will open in January. As part of Ufi VocTech Trust’s funding schedule for next year, applications for VocTech Seed grants will be accepted between 21 January and 13 February.
To support the programme, Ufi VocTech Trust will be holding a series of free Workshops to help those interested in applying to decide if this funding is for them. If you are interested in VocTech Seed 2020 funding and want to find out if your project is ready for this funding, please book your place at one of the three events being held across the country. These are:
Cambridge – Wednesday 22 January (13:30 – 16:30)
Glasgow – Tuesday 28 January (9:30 – 12:30)
London – Tuesday 4 February (13:30 – 16:30)
VocTech Seed offers funding opportunities of between £15k and £50k for projects that will take between 3 and 12 months to complete.
The programme supports the development of early stage ideas, small scale testing, proof of concept work and the development of strategies to scale once Ufi funding has ended.
It aims to create a pipeline of new digital vocational learning solutions by supporting innovative and creative projects at an early stage of development to reach a point where they can demonstrate their potential to customers or funders by proving a concept and planning a route to market.
If you know of projects who may be interested in VocTech Seed 2020, please share this information with them: any applications must sign up to attend a workshop so please do ask them to register to attend.
