Management Practices in FE and Sixth Form Colleges
The Centre for Vocational Education Research (CVER), London School of Economics are undertaking research into management practices in the FE sector, funded by DfE. They are keen to interview Principals and Deputy Principals from FE and Sixth Form Colleges in England to understand how the management of colleges varies across the country and how they relate to college performance.
If you are interested in contributing to this major piece of research that will shape policy decision-making and management practices in years to come, please email the Projects team for more information or to arrange an interview.
T Level Professional Development Offer – Understanding T Levels
The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) has launched a range of CPD modules on understanding T Levels which are available on the Foundation Online Learning (FOL) Platform.
The understanding T Levels CPD offer aims to:
- ensure that the FE workforce has information about T Levels so they understand the implications for their role and can advise students (including those with SEND) effectively about their options
- ensure that teachers in schools advising young people understand what T Levels are and what the potential benefits are.
The CPD is based on various roles within the sector, including teachers and trainers, teachers and trainers supporting SEND students, student and employer-facing frontline staff, HR, finance and MIS staff as well as governors and directors. CPD is also available online to support staff working with local feeder schools to ensure those advising young people understand what T Levels are.
The CPD can be accessed via FOL and is available at no charge to 2020, 2021 and future ESFA funded T Level providers.
