Corporate services
AoC supports its member colleges with many aspects of the day-to-day and year by year running of their institutions.
As multi-million pound organisations, with a total college income in England of £7 billion, colleges must manage smoothly all the complexities of such large organisations whilst continuing to drive up standards in teaching and learning and supporting students and staff.
Ways in which AoC does this include giving indemnified employment advice, helping colleges to manage their finances, pressing for fairer funding and more income for the sector, ensuring college governors and clerks receive proper training, resolving national pay negotiations for staff and helping with crisis situations, whether that be in PR, employment or safety.
