AoC Sport to join social media boycott
28th April 2021
AoC Sport will be standing together with our partners across the footballing landscape to support a social media boycott against any form of online discrimination and abuse.
Organisations such as The Premier League, EFL, PFA, LMA, PGMOL, Kick It Out and Women in Football will be taking part in the boycott from 3pm on Friday 30 April until 11:59pm on Monday 3 May.
It shows English football coming together to emphasise that social media companies like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram must do more to eradicate online hate, while highlighting the importance of educating people in the ongoing fight against discrimination.
AoC Sport, along with our football development arm ECFA, is supporting this movement in the hope it can help educate young people and incite them to take a stand against toxic behaviour online and understand the consequences of online abuse and the effect that it has.
