Nominate your inspiring students for AoC Sport Awards

Despite the lack of sports and physical activity in colleges for most of the academic year, AoC Sport would still like to recognise the commitment and positive impact students have had during the pandemic. Therefore we are looking for nominations in the following AoC Sport Awards categories this year:

• Inspirational Student of the Year
• Student Volunteer of the Year (strictly for Leadership Academy members)

We will also be continuing the Hall of Fame award, which recognises a member of staff’s continuous commitment and significant contribution to college sport and physical activity. There will be two awards in this category.

What we are looking for

The Inspirational Student of the Year award is for an enthusiastic individual who has acted selflessly to support others in college sport and/ or who has battled to against the odds to achieve in sport. This could be as a volunteer, leader or athlete. Have they made an exceptional contribution during the pandemic? Have they improved the health and wellbeing of their peers in innovative ways? The Student Volunteer Award is in partnership with Active IQ and is strictly for students that are part of an AoC Sport Leadership Academy college. It recognises the commitment of an individual student to college sport and physical activity as a volunteer or leader. Someone who has been a positive role model, actively promoted student sport or made a significant impact in the wider college community. The Hall of Fame Awards are for two staff who have been involved with AoC Sport for at least 10 years and who have shown consistent commitment and made a significant contribution to college sport and physical activity. Both staff and students can make nominations by following this link. You can save and continue your nomination later if you need to gather more information. Please remember to refer to the criteria below for each category when making nominations and include as much detail as possible. AoC Sport Awards criteria 2021 The deadline for all nominations is 12:00 on Tuesday 1 June 2021. Any nominations made after this date will not be considered. The awards will be presented online via the AoC Sport Twitter and Instagram channels at midday on Friday 25 June.
