- Industrial Action 14 October
Industrial Action 14 October
19th June 2019
On Monday 6 October colleges will have received from UCU, notification of their intention to proceed with a day of industrial action on 14 October in accordance with S.234A TULR(C)A 1992. You will be aware that following legal advice, AoC in partnership with colleges intend to challenge this ballot. As we are now in receipt of the notification, AoC have instructed our legal team to move forward with the challenge.
It is anticipated that we will be able to provide colleges with a further update by the end of this week on what communication you will need to provide to your local branch and to staff, however in the interim colleges are advised that the normal industrial action communication is still provided to employees regarding potential pay deductions and registration requirements on the day of action. A model letter to be adapted to your local circumstances is available below.
