With only weeks left to the AoC Equality and Diversity Conference, do not miss your opportunity to attend this essential event which brings together professionals in equality and diversity, human resources, curriculum, quality improvement and innovation, student support staff as well as senior leaders and governors to share and learn the latest information on progressing equality, diversity and inclusion in the college workplace and learning environment. This year, we are delighted to have expert keynote speakers addressing the conference on topical issues you have told us that are affecting your colleges.
Hear about strategies to achieve real change from Charlotte Sweeney.
Understand from Dr. Christine Rose how colleges can actively tackle unconscious bias.
Paul Roberts will provide insight to delegates on how they can embed equality, diversity and inclusion into the curriculum.
Colleges will understand the importance of having a diverse workforce from Rajinder Kaur Mann, OBE.
Mohammed Ramzan will provide an update on John Ruskin College’s journey to embracing and achieving outstanding in equality and diversity.
A legal update on equality and diversity legislation will also be provided by Nicola Bennison.
In addition, stimulating breakout sessions will be led by experts inside and outside of the sector on a number of topics including, addressing biases through inclusive leadership, how to become a ‘gay friendly’ workplace, analysing and using your equality data effectively, using behaviour change insights to improve equality outcomes, embedding religion and belief diversity within the college environment and enhancing equality of opportunity for people with disabilities and/or learning difficulties.
