BAFTA and MOBO award-winning artist, writer and historian Akala to address Annual Conference
24th October 2019
Today, acclaimed hip hop artist, educator and writer, Akala has been added to the line-up for the Association of Colleges’ conference taking place in Birmingham between 19 – 20 November.
While known for his hugely successful music career and theatre production company, more recently Akala has gained a reputation as one of the most dynamic and literate talents in the UK.
He speaks brilliantly on a range of topics and issues, from education to music and modern media, drawing on his vast historic knowledge and personal experiences.
Akala joins Secretary of State for Education, Gavin Williamson and political commentator and columnist, Ayesha Hazarika talking to delegates from across the country about the important issues facing further education and colleges within unprecedented political times.
This year’s conference will focus on whole college health – from working culture to finances, curriculum to student and staff well-being. You will go back to your organisation with practical solutions, inspirational stories and fresh thinking to embed and share with your colleagues and students.
