AoC Sport coronavirus update - 05.01.21
5th January 2021
Following the recent government announcement requiring colleges to switch to online learning and for grassroots sport to cease, AoC Sport can confirm that all of our sports competitions scheduled for this month have now been postponed.
While this is disappointing news for the thousands of students looking forward to representing their colleges in sports events it is undoubtedly the right decision. However, AoC Sport remains committed to providing league, cup and tournament competition as soon as it is safe for staff and students to participate and when government guidance allows.
Given the ever changing nature of the pandemic, we will continue to liaise with key partners and will regularly review the public health situation before determining new start dates for leagues and cups. We will announce these as soon as is practically possible to do so. AoC Sport still plans to organise tournament competition in the spring and plans are in place to deliver these in a COVID secure manner.
