Sir George Monoux CollegePrincipal
Salary: £115,000
Required for 1 September 2016
Sir George Monoux College is in the North East London Borough of Waltham Forest, on a single 17.5 acre site in Walthamstow. We are a major educational provider in what is a much sought after and rapidly developing part of East London. We have just over 2,000 students aged 16 -19 on a broad range of full-time courses. We offer A Level, BTEC and GCSE courses. We have excellent facilities and the college is in good financial health. We have high aspirations for all of our students, the majority of whom progress to higher education, although the development of good social and employability skills are also key college priorities.
We wish to recruit an outstanding leader to drive forward the strategic direction of the College at what is a challenging time for post-sixteen education generally. To be considered for this post, you will have a proven track record of delivering organisational improvement and the ability to inspire students and staff. You will need to be able to demonstrate substantial knowledge of 16-19 education and have significant leadership experience in education. Just as important, you will have a management style that is built on transparency and participation; a style that welcomes challenge and new ideas.
For more information on this post, please visit the AoC Create microsite.
Closing date for applications is Sunday 17 April 2016.
The selection process will be held at the college on Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 May 2016.
