Deputy Principal – Finance, Resources & Business Development at Newham College
The London Borough of Newham benefited significantly from Olympic investment and regeneration and Newham College is right at the heart of a new, vibrant East London. It is one of the largest and most successful colleges in the Greater London area and its innovative and dynamic approach, supported by high quality staff, means that they are at the leading edge of local delivery.
The college is looking for a financial strategist to lead financial planning and develop robust systems to support college ambitions. Working closely with the Principal, you will create a framework that enables the college to maximise its funding in order to support the local skills economy and deliver its commitment to inclusion and achievement. This role will also take lead strategic responsibility for Estates & Facilities, ICT, Systems and Data Management.
Using your financial background, commercial and strategic skills you will develop a commercial plan to expand the business , exploring opportunities for growth and developing the landscape to work with more employers. The college is looking for someone who is driven, motivated, looking for continuous excellence and who can further develop a performance driven culture. Highly strategic, you will have the vision needed to make a difference and have the credibility to engage externally with employers and stakeholders. The college is part of the group structure and you will also have responsibility for the subsidiaries companies.
With a strong track record in finance you will have a high level of commercial acumen and strong strategic skills. They are seeking an individual who can demonstrate success in managing a complex financial portfolio gained in education, public sector or commerce.
