Students across the country are collecting their A Level results and we'll be bringing you some of their stories across the day. The thing that stood out the most about Blackburn College was the staff – they were extremely accommodating and always happy to help. I didn’t think that I would be going to my first choice of University but I got the results I needed and feel so excited! I wanted to do A levels at College though and JWC has really suited me. He may have slept well but we didn’t!. I’m glad I did as I’m really happy with my results. I felt nervous this morning but I'm really happy now I’ve got my results. I really enjoyed my time at SGS. It definitely works! “I would have loved to get an A in chemistry but I wasn't expecting an A in physics so I’m still happy. “I moved to Bristol just before starting college so I had no friends, but I made loads at SGS. When I was younger my brother gave me a book, the undercover economist, and it really spoke to me. I've always loved maths so working in finance seemed like the perfect fit. Teachers at SGS has been really good. They really cared and supported us. I feel so relieved. I couldn't sleep last night. It's great that I can now stop worrying. Hot on the heels of being named BTEC Engineering Student of the Year 2018, James has achieved A grades in Maths and Physics and double distinction star in Engineering, sealing him a place at the University of Southampton to read Aerospace Engineering." It’s a friendly environment, which is bot relaxed but motivating.  I got the three As that I needed to go to Durham to study History and after that I eventually want to go on to teach. I can’t wait to start uni, it will be a massive leap for me but I’m excited about going away and making new friends. I’ve loved studying at Cornwall College St Austell over the last couple of years and i would recommend it, I think it’s brilliant. The smaller class sizes have given it a more personal feel, as if the lessons are catered to what we as a group would like to improve on. It has also been a great place to socialise and I’ve made a lot of friends at college."
