With support from the Skills Funding Agency, AoC West Midlands ran a free to attend one-day workshop to support colleges and training providers in building their capacity to deliver high quality apprenticeships.
This hands-on workshop assisted staff responsible for all aspects of apprenticeship delivery to fully understand, plan for and implement the changes required to build strong links with employers and to deliver a high quality apprenticeship offer. The workshop was led by Sue Blake and Lorna Freakley who have worked extensively and successfully with apprenticeship providers, supporting them to implement the reforms. Teresa Frith, AoC’s senior lead on apprenticeships, set the scene with an overview of the reforms and the opportunities they present.
