Capel Manor College - Kim Wilde

Capel Manor College nominated Kim Wilde where she studied a range of Garden Design courses, gaining a CGLI Certificate in Plants and Planting.  On successful completion of her studies she became one of the college’s higher profile adult career changers: from pop star and 80s icon to TV garden designer, presenter, writer and personality.

Since qualifying, Kim has worked as a volunteer at Capel Manor College to help engage young people in horticulture, raise sponsorship for gardening projects and help publicise the College and its activities.

Kim has proved herself an extremely talented garden designer and has won RHS Gold Medals for her designs at the Chelsea Flower Show and Tatton Park.  She was also awarded the Worshipful Company of Gardeners’ Annual Prize for 2003.
