Raising money to support FE's Future Stars
As part of AoC Charitable Trust's committment to supporting post-16 education, each Future Star is invited to apply for a grant to help them participate in an activity which would support their career aspirations and provide them with an experience over and above what they might expect to recieve as part of their college course.
Over the past three years, thanks to the generosity of colleges, AoC Gold Award winners, Beacon Award sponsors and others, the Trust has raised over £10,000 to form the grant fund by running auctions via eBay for Charities and by hosting a live auction.
Making a real difference
The grants are already having an impact on the lives of FE students who have variously used them to travel overseas for extra training, purchase specialist equipment and support their elite level sporting careers.

How to be a Future Star
The first step is to get your college to nominate a former student who has gone on to achieve success in, or made a major contribution to, their chosen field.
All colleges whose nominees are selected for an AoC Gold Award will then be invited to put forward a Future Star who shares similar career ambitions as their Gold Award winner.
We've made it easier to apply
Our new AoC Gold Award online nomination form means you can now make nominations directly through the website.
