AoC Safer Students Conference 2025

Wednesday 15^th and Thursday 16^th October

This year’s Safer Students conference covers a range of challenges that colleges face in supporting our students and keeping our college communities safe. We will hear from government, voluntary sector groups and colleges themselves, about some of their innovative work in this area – including involving other agencies. We will consider recent trends across the wide range of evolving risks and threats faced by our students such as the impact of misogyny, hate speech, mis- and dis-information and material poverty.

The emphasis throughout will be on how to create a strong culture of safety and inclusiveness including practical approaches colleges can adopt in the here and now, as well as system changes which could help us better serve our students in the future.
