Our unique approach to transforming Forth Valley College systems has enhanced the student experience, supported transition from school to college and added value for our employer partners.
The approach is innovative because it has developed existing systems to: maximise the use of our core college data; provide online and sustainable solutions, helped to meet the college’s sustainability targets; provide information using a medium that students are comfortable using; and enhance access to real-time information for students, employers and stakeholders.
The Schools Portal helps school staff to support young college applicants at every stage in the process, increasing their chances of their application being successful. The Employer Portal helps employed students by making sure their employers know how they are progressing at college, so that they can support their employees effectively. Myinfo provides students with real-time access to their own data, including the status of bursary applications, timetables, attendance, self-certification of absences and contacts for all key college support services, so that they are always well-informed and prepared to make the most of their college experiences. These systems are already supporting all students across the college.
