Empowering change - Hull youth social action project

A case study by Hull College.

From December 2024 to May 2025, a dedicated group of Hull College students led a social action project to address the urgent issue of sexual assault and support for survivors. Their youth-led initiative focused on creating and delivering a powerful learning resource to raise awareness,
confront stigma, and offer tools for support. The project was developed as part of the Association of Colleges Youth Social Action programme, which encourages youth-led community initiatives. Through safe-space discussions, debate, and collaborative dialogue, Hull College students selected sexual assault awareness as their focus due to its relevance and the silence that often surrounds it.
