The power of youth led initiatives

Offering a wide range of enrichment activities is a key aspect of college life, because on top of academic learning, students gain their independence and shape their own identity. Youth Social Action (YSA) plays a vital role in this process by empowering young people to take ownership of socially impactful projects, and supporting their agency to explore and develop an idea they are passionate about. ‘Youth-led’ is one of the six principles of Youth Social Action, with ideas and decision making being driven by the young people involved.
