Regional Governors Inductions & Conferences
Regional Governors Inductions 2023/2024
The Regional Governance Inductions and Conferences 2023/24 project is delivered by AoC, commissioned by the Education and Training Foundation on behalf of the Department for Education.
The Regional Governance Inductions aim to support new college governors to gain better understanding of their role in the further education sector. The programme is suited to new college governors or governors that have been in their role for less than 12 months and have not attended an induction before. The 2023/24 programme will aim to deliver 10 regional induction events.

Regional Governance Conferences 2023/2024
The Governance Conferences aim to
support board members and senior leads to explore key topics. The 2023/24
programme will aim to deliver 5 conferences.
Wednesday 29 November, 1:30 – 4:00pm
Theme: Students and Curriculum including Mental Health and Wellbeing and Safeguarding. This event will be organised and delivered by the AoC Midlands and East Team.
Friday 08 December, 1:30 – 4:00pm
Theme: The Local Skills Agenda including Duty to Review, Devolution and Accountability Agreements. This event will be organised and delivered by the AoC Northern Team.
Tuesday 30 January, 3:00 – 5:30pm
Theme: FE Policy and Curriculum Reform including Ofsted and T Levels. This event will be organised and delivered by the AoC London and South East Team.
Friday 23 February, 1:30 – 4:00pm
Theme: Funding and Finance including staffing and industrial action. This event will be organised and delivered by the AoC Northern Team.
Wednesday 06 March, 3:00 – 5:30pm
Theme: Sustainability and Innovation including Green Skills and Digital Technology. This event will be organised and delivered by the AoC South West Team.
