AoC West Midlands Regional Skills Forum 18 March 2015

The first regional skills forum was held on 18 March at Walsall College. Delegates were provided an opportunity to hear about and discuss ways in which colleges and employers, supported by their local enterprise partnerships in the West Midlands, can work together to meet the skills needs of the workforce and wider community.

The recent progress report from the Commission on Adult Vocational Teaching and Learning makes the point that changing the way colleges and employers work is far more about building relationships than elaborate structures and systems.

With presentations from the Education and Training Foundation, the West Midlands Observatory, UKCES and others, this free to attend event offered the opportunity not only to share knowledge about what works but also to further develop the collaborative network between colleges and LEPs across the West Midlands.
