Salary: £52,500 - £55,000 Per Year, + £4,800 Car Allowance and Attractive Benefits Package (pro-rata)

The Area Director is our senior representative and primary contact for member colleges in the East of England region. This is an influential role, working with college Boards, principals and senior teams to understand and meet their needs. The Area Director champions and represents colleges with key stakeholders and engages members in our policy and public affairs work.

We are looking for a strong leader with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills gained from working in a complex stakeholder environment. You will need a good understanding of colleges and the further education policy/political environment.

There may be opportunity for additional responsibility within AoC leading to a full-time role. This can be discussed before or during interview, if it is of interest.

Hours: 22.5 hours per week (0.6FTE)
