National Advisory Groups

Lambeth College45The role of the National Advisory Groups is to draft the national lobbying position for AoC as it relates to Management Information, Information Technology and Learning Technologies. The Groups will act to coordinate regional activity and to act as the means of communication between the regions, national office and member Colleges.

The National Advisory Groups:

  • Identify specific lobbying positions (subject to sign off by the CEO and AoC main board), to draft position papers and formal responses to government policy;
  • Communicate AoC policy to member colleges;
  • Provide advice on interpreting government and executive strategy, on its implementation and the implications for College managers.

The current Chairs of each group are:

National MIS Group - Graham Mort, (Strode’s College, Head of Resource)
National LT Group - Peter Kilcoyne, (Worcester College of Technology, Director of ILT)
National IT Group - Jim Dewar, (East Berkshire College, Director of Information Management & Systems)

Membership of the groups is open to all serving Colleges staff and if  you would like to join the groups or contribute any items to the agenda please email the AoC Technology Team.
