Association of Colleges

 

The AoC Performance and Quality Portfolio Group directs AoC policy on issues relating to performance management.  The work of the group is based upon the Terms of Reference which follow:

• Make recommendations to the Board of the AoC on the performance, quality and increased autonomy of Colleges 
   
• Take an active role in aiding officers and Board members to analyse and respond to proposals from BIS, DfE, SFA, Ofsted, LSIS, OFQUAL, UKCES, Local Authorities or other bodies with a remit for quality and performance of Colleges to ensure equitable treatment across all provision
   
• Assist the Association in contributing to national debate on the reduction of the burden of regulation
   
• Provide a forum for sharing best practice and discussing development needs
   
• Identify the support needs of Colleges using a range of relevant agencies and to offer a forum of self help to drive up excellence

The Group is chaired by Asha Khemka, Principal of West Nottinghamshire College.  Joy Mercer, AoC's Policy (Education) Director, facilitates this Group.  Please see below for a list of members.
