The AoC HE in FE and Funding Portfolio Group represent the interests of Colleges with HE provision and informs AoC policy, services and lobbying activity. The work of the group is based upon the Terms of Reference which follow:
- Make recommendations to the Board of the AoC on the development and review of policies relating to HE
- Take an active part in aiding officers and Board members to analyse and respond to proposals from DBIS, HEFCE, QAA or other bodies
- Assist the Association in contributing to national debate on HE in relation to funding, quality assurance, curriculum, student support and other issues as appropriate
- Advise on and actively support the lobbying activities of the Association in relation to HE delivered in FE
- Provide a forum for sharing best practice and discussing development needs
- Identify support needs for colleges delivering HE in FE and ensure that these are addressed, using a range of relevant agencies
