AoC Management Services finalist in best trade conference award

AoC Management Services were finalists at this year’s Trade Association Forum (TAF) Awards held in central London last night.

AoC's National Conference, held last November at the Birmingham International Conference Centre (ICC), was short-listed with six other organisations for the prestigious TAF best conference award.

AoC's three day conference - the biggest of its kind in the education sector - was attended by 1,400 delegates, senior government ministers and leading figures from the world of education.

Des O’Hare, Director of AoC Management Services said;

“We were delighted to be short-listed for this prestigious award. The Annual Conference is a credit to the hard working AoC Management Services team and all the partners and colleges who work so hard to make it such a success. We are determined to build on our success and make this years’ conference in November the best yet.”

AoC’s 2007 National Conference  programme included speeches by Bob Geldof, Education Ministers Bill Rammell and Jim Knight, 41 specialist seminars, 85 exhibitors and a gala dinner attended by 969 guests.

This year's AoC National Conference, to be held at the Birmingham ICC between 18 and 20 November 2008, will include keynote speeches by Ed Balls, Secretary of State for Children, Families and John Denham, Secretary of State ffor Innovation , Skills and Universties.
