General membership information

AoC MembershipColchester Institute

AoC's full members are Further Education, Sixth Form, Tertiary and Specialist Designated Colleges across Great Britain.

What criteria does my College need to meet to become a full member of AoC?

  1. If your College is either a Further Education Corporation (FEC) or a Sixth Form College Corporation (SFC) formed under s18 and 19 of the 1992 Further and Higher Education Act 1992 (all of which are either charities or exempt charities), then it is eligible to join AoC as a full member.

  2. If your College has been created by either the Secretary of State for Business Innovation (Further Education Colleges (which are exempt charities or registered charities prior to 1992)) or by the Secretary of State for Education (Sixth Form Colleges) then it is eligible to join AoC as a full member.

If your College does not meet the above criteria, it may still be eligible to join AoC through our affiliation programme. Unfortunately, private training providers are not represented by AoC as members or affiliates.

Please contact the Membership Office for more detail - 020 7034 9959.
