1    AoC Beacon Awards 2010/2011 Programme - FINAL CALL

The closing date for this year's AoC Beacon Awards is Wednesday 7 July 2010 so there are now just a few days before the deadline for receipt of applications.

We have put together a 'Benefits to sponsors' page on the website to demonstrate to potential sponsors the return on investment they will get by being involved with the awards, but this might make interesting reading for Colleges also.

For the 2009/10 programme, the team at the AoC secured a PR value for the print and online coverage of £157,540.29 from a combined unique views and circulation figures of 7,600,029.  The one-day radio campaign alone had an audience reach of 1,916,000 - a rate card comparison of £24,176.  More information can be found here:   Benefits to Sponsors.

Aside from the monetary value of the Awards, the real benefit to winning Colleges is the peer recognition and the opportunity to be involved with the AoC in the various marketing opportunities afforded by the Awards.  Aside from the benefits to the sector of sharing best practice, the sponsors are also encouraged by a healthy number of good-quality submissions.  In these times of financial uncertainty it is much easier for a sponsor to justify the cost of sponsorship if they can see how their award is valued by the sector.

If you would like any advice on putting together your submission; particularly if you want any tips on how to anonymise your bid this year, or if you would like any feedback from last year's applications, then please do call Alice Thiagaraj on the number below.
