NAREC Working With Northumberland and Newcastle College on Micro-Renewables.

Micro-renewable technologies produce energy on a small scale, such as electricity capacity of less than 50 kW or heat capacity under 45 kWe.  The New and Renewable Energy Centre (NAREC) is setting up a facility to provide advice and guidance to small- and medium-sized enterprises in the NE who want to develop micro-renewable technologies. Funding from the European Regional Development Fund of £495,000 is being matched by the regional development agency, One NorthEast. As part of its programme, NAREC will support the delivery of courses on renewable energy at Northumberland and Newcastle College.
