  • AoC represents the needs of Colleges and their students and employers to Government. In addition it provides advice to members in key areas such as employment, funding and curriculum and quality
     
  • AoC North supports Colleges across the NE region as well as contributing to the regional social and economic agenda. It is one of the eight AoC regional offices.
     
  • The north east team includes the Regional Director, Regional Officer and Office Administrator. They are guided by a Regional Committee with John Widdowson (Principal of New College Durham) as the Chair.
     
  • The Core Activities of AoC (North) are:To be the regional champion for Colleges and represent their views to regional bodies, enhance their reputation, raise awareness of their contribution to economic and social prosperity and ensure that they are represented in regional structures.
     
  • To support members through meetings, information, advice and events.
     
  • To be a fully consultative membership organisation, effectively communicating with AoC (National) members, partners and supporters
