The Association of Colleges’ Student of the Year Award aims to highlight outstanding student achievement, often in adversity, and celebrate the amazing success stories so common to the sector.
The Award recognises personal achievement, perseverance against the odds, the students’ contribution to the College or wider community and the inspirational nature of their successes.
Competition prizes are worth a total of £2000. Entries to the Awards are used for Colleges Week and AoC Annual Conference media promotion.
Colleges nominate one outstanding student for the Award and a shortlist is selected in mid-October by a panel of judges. Three finalists are chosen to receive prizes at the AoC Annual Conference in November.
AoC distributes entry forms in the autumn term and encourages as many Colleges to take part as possible.
