Deputy Principal

Salary: £85K

Located within the vibrant area of Merseyside, Knowsley Community College is a diverse and financially secure GFE College with an annual turnover of approximately £22m. Operating from two main campuses we serve around 4000 learners and are proud of the contribution we make to the economic and social wellbeing of the communities we serve.

We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational Deputy Principal with an uncompromising commitment to raising standards and aspirations and improving learner outcomes. As the lead for curriculum standards and performance, you will be responsible for implementing quality and performance improvement strategies
which will ensure the College rapidly improves and achieves its long term aspiration to be an outstanding College.

Possessing the requisite leadership and ambassadorial skills to deputise for the Principal when required, the successful candidate will be an excellent communicator who sets high standards and expectations and is able to motivate staff at all levels to effect positive change. You must be a results driven self-starter and will need to demonstrate a successful track record in the leadership and management of curriculum and improving the quality of teaching and learning.

The Midland Studio College

Curriculum Leader / Learning Coach - Business Studies / ICT

Salary : MPS /UPS +TLR 2b

The Midland Studio College in Hinckley, sponsored by North Warwickshire and Hinckley College is an exciting new studio school for students of years 10 to 13. The school is scheduled to open in September 2012.

The vision for The Midland Studio College is that it will be a fast track into employment and a strong foundation from which to build a successful career. Offering excellent learning and teaching, one to one coaching, real work experience and the development of core personal skills, including communication and teamwork, students will leave the school confident and with a sense of purpose.

The ethos of The Midland Studio College will centre on being professional and adopting a strong work ethic. Students of all abilities and backgrounds will be welcome at The Midland Studio College, which will be a small school with a total of 300 students when full.

Studio schools differ from traditional education in one very important way: they are designed to help young people achieve academic qualifications whilst gaining the skills required to succeed in work. They offer continual work placements from years 10 to 13 and give young people a head start on being ready for work. They also use personal coaching and small classes to help young people achieve their full potential.

We are currently recruiting for the above role, presenting an exciting and unique opportunity to be part of the Curriculum / Learning Coaches Team right at the start of journey.  The Curriculum Leader/Learning Coach for Business Studies  / ICT will be responsible for the development and implementation of Business Studies and ICT provision within a new, innovative and personalised curriculum, with an acute focus on employability and a background in education which is student centred.

Interim MIS Consultant - London Region

An opportunity for an Interim MIS Consultant has arisen at one of our member Colleges in the London region. The College requires an ASAP commencement on a 3-5 day a week basis.  The College are seeking an individual to lead and support the MIS team on ‘business as usual’  responsibilities but you will also be able to demonstrate an expert knowledge of funding.
