Penny Dinning, the Lead for Safeguarding and Counselling at Brooklands College, chairs this network. The group covers a broad range of topics within student services and has received updates from Student Finance England, Ofsted and the National Union of Students. In addition, both Barnardo’s and RSM Tenon have addressed the group on the Bursary Fund, which has enabled staff to prepare for the changes being introduced in September, and the Institute for Career Guidance has spoken on the new legislation around careers advice.
