This year's conference has a theme of "Keeping the Torch Alive" and will focus on creating a legacy for young people from the Olympic and Paralympic Games within Colleges. The implications of the announcement of up to an additional £25 million Lottery funding to support College sport in Sport England's Strategy to 2017 will be explored in detail at the conference. At the conference you will also hear from National Governing Bodies about new initiatives and participation programmes.

Colleges provide opportunities for over 800,000 young people every year and over 70,000 take part in sport on a regular basis. BCS provides competition for 30,000 students annually, culminating in the National Championships with up to 4,000 competitors held in April each year. The conference will include the BCS Awards presentation to the Colleges and participants that have achieved most over the year.

The annual two day residential conference is a collaborative event between the Association of Colleges and British Colleges Sport, specially designed for College sport managers and practitioners in UK Colleges. The programme will support them primarily in the successful delivery of Sport Curriculum, including essential updating from the main stage, best practice breakout sessions and update sessions and over six hours of networking time with colleagues and suppliers.

Who should attend?

Sports curriculum leaders, managers and staff responsible for extracurricular sport and community links.
